Economic Reality is the most important means that the AIED (Argentine Institute for Economic Development) has for its diffusion. It is an open forum for the exposition of ideas of sectors involved and concerned about economic, political, social and cultural issues that have to do with our country and the world in general. Its approach is heterodox its origins being the social sciences and it is directed to a wide public of academics and to society as a whole.
It is published regularly every 45 days since 1971 and it has a run of 6.000 issues of 160 pages in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It has had a data base since its first printing and is registered under the ISSN 0325-1926.
The Publishing Committee has 8 members and its president is the Agricultural Engineer Horacio Giberti, These persons anonymously evaluate the articles they receive. The managing director is Juan Carlos Amigo.
Most of its contents are unpublished articles written by renowned authors who work as professors and investigators in Universities and other entities in the country and out of it. There are also articles of general interest as well as bibliographic comments.
