In this issue of Realidad Económica, the discourses from the last two round tables of the Fourth IADE development conference are published: Limitations and alternatives to the accumulation regime in Argentina, with expositions by Martín Schorr and Enrique Arceo; and Inevitably bumping along?, an intervention by Carlos Vilas, under the coordination of Marisa Duarte. The aim of the conference was to analyze the political and economic limitations that hinder the validity of a development project that is sustainable in time, as well as the possibility of the emergence of a subject that embodies the historical commitment to govern for the people, by the people. In this setting, the speakers sought to go forward in the conformation of efficient alternatives facing financial and global capitalism.
